"You've gotta buy this" he said, "it will change your world." How many times have you heard this? How many times have you bought the opportunity, gotten sold on the product, been excited and enthusiastic - and it doesn't work for you?
I have been in that boat too. I've bought many opportunities, spent thousands of dollars - and nothing happened. Has that been you? Do you wonder why? What's going on?
You see all the success' of your sponsor and the people on the videos and the people up there on stage and you wish your were one of them. You long to achieve the level of success they have achieved; to have that income, to buy that car, go on that cruise, live in that house, but all that keeps eluding you. No matter what you try - making lists of friends and relatives and calling them, buying the product, cold calling, social media; it all falls short. And you wonder why.
The problem is not with the program. The problem is not whether or not you are trying hard enough. It's not that you are not working hard enough or doing enough cold calling or marketing. It's not that you aren't attending the workshops or training. The problem does not lie with your sponsor or network or team. You are doing the best you can - and I know that, even if you don't.
I know you are doing the best you can. Sure, maybe you aren't attending the training, maybe you don't keep in contact with your sponsor or team. It could be that you aren't marketing or speaking to people or handing out information about the program. Obviously, if any of that's occurring, you know you should be doing it and maybe you feel guilty for not doing it. Feeling guilty isn't going to get you anywhere.
You are doing the best you can even if you know you should be doing more.
95% of all people fail. 95% of all start-up businesses fail. 95% of people in life have not, will not and do not achieve the level of success they desire. It's not because they are doing something wrong, it's because they believe they can't.
Did I lose you? Your success in life is equal to your beliefs about success. You can not rise any higher than you think - regardless of how hard you try. You cannot succeed at a diet, or a 12 Step Program or quit smoking, unless you believe you can. You and your next door neighbor can start a new business, begin with the same amount of capital, receive the same education and training, conduct the necessary research and market to the same demographic, but if you believe you will succeed while he believes he will fail, you will succeed while he fails - even if everything is identical.
Olympic athletes train arduously for months and years. They set all else aside while they focus on a single goal. They visualize, work, sweat and spends years focusing on standing atop that highest of just three platforms. Then the big day comes, they're ready, they have worked hard for years, they have set aside everything else in their life to focus on this one achievement, they are focused and intent. They know what they want and they know how to do it. Their body is trained to perfection. Then the race comes - and they finish somewhere in the middle. Out of all the others participating, they are only average. For most of us, simply participating in the Olympics is something we could never imagine, but for those who are there, winning is all that counts.
If they don't win the gold or silver or bronze, have they failed? Yes. So what happened? If all you have to do is believe you'll win, why didn't they win, they all believed they would, didn't they? If we assume that each athlete believed they could win, then why don't they all win? There's only one gold.
When the success you seek is defined by someone else, you essentially have no control over that success. Someone else could be just a little bit better. Someone else may perform just a little bit better. Someone else could lift just a few more pounds, jump just a little farther, run just a little bit faster. When the goal you seek is something you can't control, whether or not you win is just a crapshoot.
Not everyone can be a rock star. Not everyone can be a movie star. Not everyone can be the anchor on the nightly network news. Those goals are all a result of someone else making the decision. To succeed, you must define the outcome and you must have control over the process and end result.
Network marketing is one way to do this - assuming the first step is in place. The first step is your belief. Henry Ford once said, "if you believe you can, you can. If you believe you can't, you can't." Yes, it's just that simple and it's just that hard.
Get the first step in place, believe you CAN, and everything else falls into place. Maybe that falling into place includes a home business, going back to school, learning a new language, trade or profession. Maybe it includes network marketing.
I recently spoke with my friend Terry Wygal. Terry is a real estate superstar, great mentor, coach, teacher and guide. He presented an opportunity to me that I feel is worthwhile, but I had to decline, my energies are focused elsewhere right now. But this opportunity seems so good, I just had to write about it. Maybe you should take a look at it and decide if it is right for you.

Another great opportunity, and the one I am personally involved in is the Global Information Network. You can go here to learn more about that.
If those are all second steps for you and you need to get that first step taken care of, let me know, I can set you on a training path that - if you complete it - will pretty much assure your success.
Good luck and God Bless.
